(I'm doing characters from the screenplay I'm writing for Screenwriting class. So... Yeah.)


Arc
1) I think he's named after my friend Dana. Maybe?
2) Arc was first written (with a totally different name btw) many many years ago for a text role play on animeleague dot something forums. As with all forums and threads, that rp died when I joined it. Warren was a little upset.
3) He went from a little whiny to really whiny. From a cyber technic to a street urchin back to a cyber technic. He's a lot less abused now than he was when I first wrote him, which makes it not much better that he's kind of a whiny brat. I also had to de-gay him, which well, is hard. You know, for me.
4) Arc's biggest problem is that he doesn't know how to deal with people. Instead of explaining, he will just *do* things.


Mikael
1) His original name was Maker, but I changed it to Mikael when I was going through a world building phase, where a Russian name would implicitly make him an outsider.
2) Mikael was first written as an antagonist in Arc's backstory, the leader of a small gang who hates Arc for being more useful than he is.
3) Mikael started as a combination of Scorpio from Thief Lord and my stock blond guy character, though his aesthetics included heavy vitilago, the skin disease that makes albino spots, inspired by my taekwando teacher's kid. His character was originally cruel, abusing Arc and throwing Arc out of the nest. But eventually, Arc leaving Mikael became the story. In the old stories, they used to basically raise a group of misfits. Now... that just seems kind of dumb. Mikael's personality is now kind of cheery and sarcastic, sharp. He was surprisingly easier to de-gay than Arc.
4) Mikael likes to pretend Arc means nothing to him, but Arc seriously damaged him. Yet he has an unfailing belief that Arc can make anything right.


Sera
1) The conventional "Sarah" became "Sera" through my world building phase.
2) She was originally one of Arc and Mikael's group of misfits. Combined her with Jax, who in the Dirgia timeline was Arc's mentor and old flame. (Yeah, gay.)
3) Sera started off as a little girl on the streets learning how to be a prostitute. (Yeah, i don't know either.) When I changed the story to Arc leaving rather than Mikael kicking him out, Sera was the only nestling left, and she stayed with Mikael as his support. Meanwhile, Jax was a revolutionist who took care of Arc until Arc broke his trust with crazy suicidal experiments. I changed Jax to a girl to 1) de-gay the story, and 2) have more girls in the story. Girl!Jax was too similar to Sera, so I had to cut one. I named Girl!Jax Sera.
4) Sera thinks that Arc and Mikael need each other too much to hate each other as much as they seem to.
